After acquiring Lusocargo in Portugal four months ago, BBL is now acquiring the logistics company Logvad, a pioneer in e-commerce services in France. For the acquiring group, the aim is to diversify its range of supply chain services: “We are convinced of Logvad’s significant contribution. The integration of a specialist in e-commerce logistics and digital integration has become a strong asset in our offering. The marketing creativity and enthusiasm of Olivier Coryn, Logvad’s CEO, and his teams will benefit all our customers”, says BBL Group management. Following the acquisition, Olivier Coryn will remain at the head of Logvad, which will retain its autonomous management and will even be able to develop by drawing on the shared services offered by BBL: “I had been looking for a long time for a partner with a common DNA to back Logvad financially, to boost its growth, particularly internationally, and also to ensure its future beyond my own person. Joining the BBL Group is a great promise for the company and for our customers, but also a guarantee that our employees and our know-how will be preserved”, rejoices Olivier Coryn. The two companies share the same vision of increasing demand for integrated omnicale or cross-channel logistics solutions, and plan to develop commercial synergies.
Logvad, a growing company
Founded in 2004 with the takeover of an ailing warehouse, Logvad now operates seven sites in France and Belgium, with a total surface area of 50,000 m² and a workforce of around 100. The company specializes in three areas: fullfilment for distance selling, e-commerce routing for last mile partners, and in-store distribution. Sales in 2021 for the French structure and its Belgian subsidiary are estimated at just over 25 million euros, up from 22.5 million euros in 2020.
